Reviews for "(WF1) Shaolin Temple 1.0"

Great!

Very nice work, man! I love the percussion, it's awesome. I was thinking about one thing; wouldn't it be cool to have some really deep choir sounds like "ooh" like if the monks were singing? I dunno, but this is a great song. Keep up the beat!

wyldfyre1 responds:

i was thinking about that for future additions to the song. So we'll see what i out with here soon =) Thanks for the review my friend.

realy cool

chill and very nice the melody gave me chills very welly done! keep at it. and make some realy cool music!

wyldfyre1 responds:

sure thing! I'll be sure to keep at it haha thanks for the great review =)

Glad to see you back in the groove :)

I laughed at your description XD...."the smell of rice is distant in the air"

yea man, relaxing pentatonic, asian sound....like a monk meditatiing in his temple...Good sounds in here man, tibetan bells are a good fit, and I like the slow, basic beat with the taiko(if thats what youre using) and the tambourine. The synth strings flow nice and this pretty well sequenced. Its a tad short but I'm glad you put this out to get back in to submitting stuff. Cant offer any criticism in here other than making a possible suggestion to add more instruments (if you decide to make this longer). Some oriental plucked strings like a koto or something...if you have access to those sounds...and definetly a gong would be cool used at the beginning of certain sections!

cool bro :)

wyldfyre1 responds:

well i do have access to some of those sounds and yes that was a taiko =) thought it would be perfect for something like this. I'll be sure to add more to it and perhaps even add a gong in haha.. Thanks for the great review as usual!

Nice touch with the bass

It really gave it a good beat to it. And yeah its soothing. good job.

wyldfyre1 responds:

thanks for the great review. yeah the bass was actually the first loop i started on in this song.

Like it..

And if you want to really get the asian vibe, pick up Chinee's Erhu and Dizi set of VSTi's if you can find them. The Erhu is superb and the Dizi really does put other flute sets to shame in representin' chinese sounds. I'm lookin' for a spot to pick up the full versions for future works, but even the share versions were pretty good. Make this longer. Finish it.

Peace

wyldfyre1 responds:

I'll be sure to make it longer and finish it =) thanks to my block i was LUCKY to get this out LOL. Especually with how bad its been the last few months! Sure thing though i'll get some more stuff out on this and do my best to keep it going just how it is. Yeah i've been looking for something like that. I'll keep looking for more chinese and japanese stuff to add to tracks like this. Though not all my tracks will sound that way =) Thanks for the review my friend.
