1337 in fact did NOT start in CS. 1337 was a term used to describe a hackers skills. its also the term used for mixing numbers and letters to type. Hackers were reffering to themselves as 1337 before Half Life was even developed. CS players (and all other online gamers) just adopted the phrase.
