this movie was designed to show you the problems associated with the government regulating our ability to freely own firearms. it has nothing to do with giving people the right to let their children blow each others heads off or go out and kill in a gang fight or clean out a school of annoying preps.
this is about protection from the government in case our freedom is in danger! the second ammendment was designed so that in case the american government no longer served the american people, the common man would have the chance to be just as well armed as any soldier. if we have the money we are allowed to own an m16, tank, helicopter, or a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher if we so choose. the government tries to say things like, why do you need an assualt rifle to kill deer? well no one ever needs and assualt rifle to kill deer, they need on to kill large numbers of corrupt government officials who have become tyrants!
i'm not paronoid that the government will take over, but how can anyone just pretend it won't happen! you are giving up one of your basic rights by giving up the choice to own weapons!
however, along with the freedom to own and use guns, comes the responsibility to use them in an appropriate manner. you don't let your children play with them and you don't commit crimes with them. and if you choose to do such things, you will be punished by law. you have to punish the criminal not the weapons he uses.

In response to the "Paramedic". What kind of intellect are you to argue gun control, if you can't even spell "CONSTUTION" correctly?
For anyone that looks at the statistics, countless, potential deaths are thwarted every year by the simple threat of a gun. The Paramedic merely looked at the first gun shot victim and assumed guns should simply be abolished. Good gun control is taking guns away from criminals, not law abiding citizens. My point is, read between the lines, then state your educated opinion, or...become a politician.
I like this movie. It is good.
I've heard so much from both sides that I don't care anymore. Go ahead, take away my dad's guns and see if I care. Or give him more and see if I care then. Woopdedoo, it doesn't matter! But this movie had a nice point, and it was graphically very appealing. The sound could have been better though.
P.S.: Mister paramedic guy, you talk too much. But if you actually know what you're talking about (which I'm assuming you do because you use big words) then I guess thats okay.
