Hehe that was a fun movie. Great style, I liked that you talked as a narrator and it was quite a unique flash in the way that you talked about your job. I work at McDonald's myself so I understand your agony.

The Triteness is a bit trite.
K. The last guy who posted a review obviously forgot the one thing you should learn at college. How to have fun...(and drink/party). If you were paying attention to the movie, Dan works 10 hours standing inside a ticket booth taking retard questions, so if when he gets his check he wants to "eat, drink, and party" like his frat slogan tells him to, then let him do it. O yeah, you mentioned how the "stupid people are animated as "rednecks" or "white trash"" and were offended by it... answer this then, how many hicks do you know in NASA? (except for buzz aldrin, none). MATCH POINT CANADA. p.s. stop saying "trite", it makes you sound pretty damn trite. :)
oh yeh, Dan i've seen this movie close to 87 times now, since the day it came out in the portal til now. Although it was brought out in the old school days doesn't mean its old or boring. Its still sssssssmokin'! lates, keep up the anims. i think you should make another megaman movie, i still cant get the "poser alert" scene outta my head with boom boom $ playing in the back. FAntastic!

here's what makes this a great (and unique) animation (especially for NG):
1. perfect pacing.
2. witty without feeling like a standup act.
3. voice over narration.
4. the dr katz style of animation (squigglevision!)
5. really unpretentious.
here's why it's not a perfect 10:
1. the stupid people are animated as "rednecks" or "white trash." i'm an urban-raised, college graduated, northerner who does not wear overalls and a cowboy hat, so it's not like i'm defending my own, but: it's a bit trite.
2. the end "getting drunk and fucked up." again, a bit trite. if anyone can make a unique and witty remark about being in college (without having to rely on sex, alcohol, or drugs), i'd think it would be this author. but, that didn't happen here.
however, don't let these two minor details overshadow the fact that this is a simply great piece of animation.
