Reviews for "F.A.W. - Episode 1a"

Pretty good

I cannot stand that annoying symphonic loop, If you get rid of that, it would help alot! Great work though...

It was decent..

It was alright, nothing particularly earth-shattering about it, but it looks to be shaping up to something good.

I gave your music a because you linked the subject of the song ("Square Dance" being Eminem's response to his detractors)to the subject of the piece. Most people go for the "feel" aspect on these kind of movies and throw in some random techno (a la The Matrix). However, you need to expand your opening theme from 5 measures of music, that's monotonous.

h4xorM4tic: the backwards baseball cap is pretty much a universal visual symbol for either rebellion or general bas-ass'edness. Nowadays it's wearing black. Thank you, The Matrix...

Nice animation

I really liked the animation and artwork that you used, the intro scene was well done and the fighting scenes looked sharp and smoothly done. We don't really see to much of the story in this movie, (if there is one, which of course there doesn't have to be) I assume we would learn more in the next part. The only negatives I found was the bland and repetitive backgrounds and the choice of music that while I like I didn't think really fit during a martial arts scene. Just my opinion tho, great job at anyrate.

BlueFllamez responds:

Japaneese martial arts music wasn't going to work for black martial artists, we took our time selecting music that was good for fighting and their style

cool movie

square dance did not fit in with what was happenin in the movie at the time though, kinda took away from the scene, apart from that excellent

BlueFllamez responds:

Thanks, but I think everyone who reviewed my movie and commented on the music must understand that flash movies don't revolve around the background music. I really could care less. I just wanted some sound going on in the background instead of having it plain with just the fighting sound effects. Thats a good point, we wanted to use square dance after the drop, so it was like fighting music but my editing software wasn't working

Not To Shabby

Hmm isn't it refreshing to get away from sticks? And what a great departure it has been. I would have changed the music choice, but that is a personaly feeling. Great animation and action to it, but I am not sure what the hell is going on or why. Is there a story to it? Well anyway over all that was an awesome job and looking forward to some more of your work.
