Reviews for "Cotton Roots"

this is a double standard

well lets get this out of the way. yeah im black. now one sid eof me says its funny. I know if keanon wayanes did this same thing in a skit or he had produced and made this flash id find it great. But since you did it and then stated the hwole get over slavery bit which is usually said by racist people to be honest i had to lower the score.

Compare it to calling your wife a bitch. you say it and its wrong but its cool. but if your friend says it.. unless you are a fool and have no backbone. You most likely iwll A curse your friend out or B bust out some magical luckly charm asswhooping on him.
So i suppose you can compare it to that in the sense of why it lost some humor.
Get the michael jackson so called disease in reverse. Let your skin get darker. resubmit this and Ill give it a 20.

yes yes yes it is a double standard. Just like it is when a guy who screws tons of girls is considered great but a girl who screws tons of guys a whore. Sorry. *shrugs*

Some of Eddie's ancestors?

Completely fucking brilliant. The music fit perfectly. Stamper, why won't you release that treasure trove of yours we know you're hiding?

All hail Stamper.

People are too fucking sensitive.

It really is only racist if people choose to see it that way. People make jokes about Native Americans all the time, I see stereotypes of white people being perpetuated; I see all sorts of things that are thought to be harmless (truly it is) and then someone makes something humourous with a non-humourous theme.

Slavery was the vehicle for the humour; it wasn't about slavery, but instead about a guy selling his friend out to someone else. Sure, it's titled "Cotton Roots" and there's definitely the master/slave relationship going on there, but the base of the fact is that one guy sold the other out. I thought it was really funny, even though I didn't laugh. People need to open their eyes and realize that humour isn't a bad thing unless it's a means of masking an underlying ideology.

If someone can make a funny animation that reflects my ancestors losing their land and being oppressed by European colonists, I'll find it hilarious. Get over yourselves. It was good.

Kinda Crazy

But it was s'alright

Brilliant...

Props to the almighty creator of Rebecca...
