Reviews for "Megaman Zero 2 Intro"

good times

the Zero series has always been on top of my list and you made it even better.

Zeke30695 responds:

Thanks for your input, glad you liked it.

i love this tune

and you did a great job with it.

Zeke30695 responds:

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.

Good. Not what I would have done, but still good.

First of all, MMZ rules, it's the best MegaMan series out there.

Now, onto your remix. I like what I hear. It sounds a little too trancey, and just not rockey enough - the old Megaman games had it perfectly. Uh, there's a MM3 intro in the Portal somewhere (curse the lack of a search feature!!!), which combines Jazz with full-blown Guitar riffs. It sounds great.

Don't get me wrong, I like what you've done here, I like this remix, and I like this theme, but I think it would have been even better if you moved it a slightly different direction. I do like what you've done here, but I prefer a less prevalent backbeat; it should be more subdued than that. Trance/techno/dance/whatever you want to call it isn't something I get down to, it's not in any of my playlists, really, aside from minor influences. I'm not trying to criticise the way you made this sound, as long as you love what you've created, then great, but I'm just saying that it's not what I would have done. But then, nor should it be!

To be fair, it's been quite a while since I played MMZ2, and much, much longer since I actually listened properly to the main theme, but, as I've said above, I preferred the rock openings of the earlier Megaman games. The gameplay of MMZ cannot be faulted, not by the old stuff, but I do prefer that more archaic music.

However, I like this theme enough, that you've scored yourself a download. 9/10 because it's not the style of music I normally listen to, but it's good enough that it makes up for it.

Forgive the disorganised review, it's very haphazard, I know. Ordering my thoughts is not something I make a habit of, and if you've read all of this and understand where I'm trying to come from, I salute you. Oh, and good loop.

Zeke30695 responds:

Thanks! Glad you semi-liked it XD I actually plan on getting the FL Slayer 2 for my FL Studio when I get the chance, other than that my guitar choices in FL Studio are well... Limited... But thanks!

It Has Nice Touch

Zeke30695 responds:

Thanks, glad you think it has a nice touch. XD

hate to be the odd one but..

The begining part sounds better but, then it just seems to me that the rest of it is ruined with the new sounds.

Zeke30695 responds:

Ah well, people have their likes and dislikes bout the song and have their opinions on it, at least your was kind of helpful in a way, kinda hard to fix what ruined it unless you mean all the parts ruined it. In which I have made multiple versions of the song on my Mac and they are still on it, I haven't posted any new ones of Departure. But if you'd like to hear em, just let me know and I'll send em... Thanks for your review.
