Reviews for "Dodging Circles"

Pretty good, very simple

I must say, very good! The smooth learning curve helped a lot, the non-complicated instructions were great, and it is addictive! Good work!

AcidDimensions responds:

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. It was fun to make too. :)

Sweet!

That was awesome! So simple, and yet so fun. those are the types of games that I like.

AcidDimensions responds:

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

Pretty hard

My top score was 465. But those balls just popped out everywhere. I checked the top score list on your site and said to myself, "Dam I'm never gonna beat that" so I gave up :)

AcidDimensions responds:

Sorry to hear it wasn't interesting enough to keep your interest without the possibility of getting your name on the high score table.

But I'm glad you enjoyed it for the short while you played it. :)

((( DIFFERENT )))

Well its different, has promise just needs abit more work, maybe some music would be cool, and other backrounds aswell, decent though...

MOVIE COMMENTARY: Decent start of a game...

~X~

AcidDimensions responds:

Cheers. :)

As I tried to explain in the commentary, this was basically just an excercise of learning how to do action-scripted motion.

Now that I've learn that, I'll be able to do more interesting stuff like AI for shooting games and have AI and stuff in Skears (when I make the next installment, which won't be for ages).

It just wasn't meant to be a big project, so I didn't bother with stuff like backgrounds and music.

However, from now on I'll be submitting all tests like this as Bezman and only submitting my best work under this account.

I'm currently working with 'DBarbarian' on a new version of 10-count. Hopefully you'll like that.

Sorry for rambling,
Bez

very nicely done

especially for a learning project. i hope you stick with it. the only thing i could think of to make it better would maybe be to add some sound to it. aside from that it's a great game with a surprisingly simple concept. it's a wonder nobody thought of it before.

AcidDimensions responds:

Thank you very much. :)

I suppose essentially all the maze games have the same rules, but I've not seen something presented quite like this before...

I wan't too happy with how similar it was to my Skears series though and for that reason have decided to never make another thing similar to this or skears again until I've proven myself with another project.

I don't want to just be a one-trick pony.

I don't know if you played them or not, but if you liked this, you should play one of the skears games. Skears DX is the latest and (in my opinion) best.

I've recently realised what a big difference sound makes, so I think I'll try to have sound in all my future stuff.

Thanks for the review. :)
