I liked it.
And I see nothing wrong with the mixing of NES and PSX sprites/backgrounds. And you apoligize way to much in this. But since I liked this one, i'm gonna go watch the 2nd one and the 3rd. Good Job, very original.

As of the time of this writing, you haven't made any Flash movies. Perhaps you should make a couple movie of your own before you start bashing others. At the very least, constructive criticism is better than just saying "this is dumb."
Secondly, more people know of Ikaruga than you think. But even so, you don't need the story of Ikaruga to enjoy the series.
