Works well with the synths, which feel secondary. Touching. The panning flute-y synth was a bit annoying at times, a bit too much, scratched at the ears. It was still a nice sound, though, and I love the choir bit.

I never thought I'd say this about a remix of a Squaresoft soundtrack, but this is better than the original! It fully preserves the depth, poingancy, and hope of the melody and takes them to a new level of beauty. Bravo!
