Reviews for "Sonic: Casino Night Zone"

Classic.

It's a classic track made even classier with these instruments. Well done.

very good

i dont know what the h3ll the other guy was talking about, it being to similar... this versions more jazzy, even if the percussion mimics the original.... then again how the f|_|ck are you supposed to remix percussion? lol. great job! another great classic remade!!!!

Great idea... here's what I'd change:

Honestly, I think this is what the Sonic Team folks had in mind when they used the Casino Night theme for Casino night; it's evocative of a lounge band from Vegas' heyday. Great stuff.

I'm giving you 4/5 and 8/10 because I think, if I were going for accuracy rather than a reinterpretation, I'd change some of the instrumentation. The trumpet needs to be a little more legato; the original has a softer release on the melody line. The percussion and harmony are great, but I'd have chosen a plucked rather than a bowed bass sound, since those are, in fact, a bit more staccato in the original.

I'm only trying to offer helpful criticism here, because honestly, this blows me away, and I'd like to hear a lot more like this, with real-instrument covers of Sonic themes as they might have been recorded by the original artist.

Brass: YES, Drums: GREAT, Strings: Eh...

Excellent job, especially with the horns and drums. However I think the strings kinda sap the energy a bit from the tune. Try a bass guitar instead, to give it a cool, jazzier twang to it. Otherwise, great arrangement!

Nearly great, but not quite there

I think you've got a quite solid grip on the song, and I think it's pretty damn close to being a great recreation. The only thing stopping me from giving it a higher score is that I think the instruments' volumes are a little off in relation to each other, and the reverb is a little too much IMO.

Otherwise good work, and keep it up!
