Reviews for "Rearmed With Courage"

fabulous

Really a very nice mix, I love the piano. IT kinda does remind me of halo 3, but that might just be because its all ive done recently so everything reminds me of halo 3. synths are awesome, and everything fits nicely. good job

NemesisTheory responds:

Being compared to Halo 3 is badass, especially if you're going by the piano since, IMO ofcourse, the pianowork in Halo 3 is easily one of the most epic examples of how, well, epic a piano can really be.

So for that, thank you! :3

Missing some highlights here... well, good anyways

Again i'm the one to pull it down there a little, hm? ;D

Ok, you get a HUGE plus again, for me lovving it when people can buld in piano or strings(/o/&/violins).

But this time, i'm missing somehing, im used to hear from your tracks. Don't get me wrong, i really like this track, but this time its much more ..how should i say.. plain.
Now, there are positíve sides on plain tracks, you can use them almost everywhere. I could imagine this one as BGM, Titletrack, Menubgm, Trailer, yes vene a battle-trailer, but not really for a Battle BGM.

I more used to hear tracks from you, which go much more into detail, with small particular details which are flowing into the main track.
Which also means: i'm missing highlights. The bass is to repitive and too weak. I think you should have made in stronger on -some- parts.

Anyway 8/10 (you know my rating style ;D )

NemesisTheory responds:

I always try to mix piano into most of my tracks. As I am a predominant fan of the piano myself, and I always feel it sounds very nice in songs like this. Piano is always an instrument that can practically make anything feel epic. For instance the new piano track in Halo 3 raised the hairs on the back of my neck... Such a powerful instrument, really.

You're missing something? Well, I can't say I wouldn't have liked to put more stuff into this track, but, it would've most likely felt cluttered. But you are somewhat right that there's not as much variation in there as some of my other stuff. I felt a "walking bass" felt with this song for the underlying thump, if that makes sense. Sort of drives it forward like a march.

Anyway-- thanks a ton for the review man. :)

Wow, Another remix of your great tracks...

As if you couldn't get any better, you release this and amaze me more.

I loved the original one, but this is a lot better. I don't know what to say about it. I love the piano in the background of it, and it gets even better when it gets more into the techno in the middle of it.

Anyway, continue with these tracks man. I really look forward on hearing more from you, and more remixes of your old songs as well...

You know, I wonder how a remix of the Lava Reef Zone from Sonic and Knuckles would sound from you. I can't even imagine it myself...

Oh well...

NemesisTheory responds:

Haha, well, I always do try to improve aspects of the arrangement style, figured I'd try something new and focus on the piano more. It seems it turned out pretty well if I look at the responses! So that makes me glad.

It's good to hear you like it over the original. I really liked the original but I figured it could've felt a lot more epic, so I tried my best to make it 'stand up' in this version, especially with the string variation in the middle. And yeah, I'll look more into my earlier work and see what can be updated well. I won't stop now with music, anyway. :P

And yeah, me too. Sonic music is really good, I haven't played around with many themes aside from obviously Icecap Zone and some greenhill stuff that I never finished. I can always give it a spin later.

Anyway, thanks for the review man!

whoa

wat a powerful intro! pretty cool song, pumping bassline and cool melody. i liked it

NemesisTheory responds:

Glad you liked those aspects of the song! :3

The music sounds great...

Like what the summary just said it sounds great hands down and the beats are in the right places at the right time and everything else and thats all I could say keep up the good work ^_^

NemesisTheory responds:

Glad you liked it, man. I'll try my best to keep it up, ;)
