Taking a first step

The song is beautiful, but since that's not your creation, what counts is the part you created. Now, I don't mean to rip on your emotions. If this is based out of real life, I truly feel sympathetic , unless you were a creep to the girl (boy?) :-). But, in my opinion you don't add too much to the song. Yeah, your message of a "love lost without reason" is there, but it's not really moving. Two reasons. First off, the movie comes off a little... narcissistic-sappy, kinda like saying, "boo hoo, woe is me for losing you, my life sucks now!" Ack. Maybe I've just never lost anyone dear, but I would say move on. And secondly, though it's been beaten into the ground by previous reviews, the graphics ARE a bit (read, a LOT) on the crappy side (that heart? UGH!!). Sorry, but it's hard to be moved by scrolling text. Maybe we've all been weaned on too many eye-candy movies, but a SINGLE FRAME of frame-style animation would have been appreciated. Nonetheless, you definetly get my Kudos for taking the leap into (what has to be) a previously uncharted genre of Newgrounds movies. I don't recall ever seeing a truly emotional movie about real LOVE before on Newgrounds before. Most "love" movies here just involve crude FDA humor... Way to go man. Maybe you don't have the best movie ever, but you made a valiant first brave step into uncharted Newground waters. Now take the second: improve the movie. Who knows? Maybe Newgrounds will become a place of love and understanding. Nah. Hey, better luck with love in the future! ^_^

Your review is probably the most interesting that I read for this movie. Not many people will write a long review and list the good and the bad with advice, etc. Kudos for that. As I told just about everyone with a response, it was my first movie, and I made the movie basically AFTER this happened. Funny what motivates you to FINALLY learn something like this program. FLASH is hard to deal with, my I'm working on it and it is improving. I AM making another movie but the problems with my computer is making it difficult to deal with. (The sound card quits when I install FLASH. Takes a lot of restarts to MAKE it work.) The graphics... most has been done by hand. Except say.. the night sky when I had to fill it in with a color. But, like I said, it's getting better and HOPEFULLY it WILL be better. Practice, errors and mistakes, and patience. Anyways, there's lots I wanna say in response, but all in all, thanks for your review. Not to many HONEST reviews out there, know what I mean?

i have been goin through some stuff on newgrounds... and this is the only thing i have seen that really struck me... it was really prett and cool, keep up the good work...i'm sorry to hear about your proposal and all.. maybe you deserve a much better person.. anyways... good luck!

It was definately an interesting movie in that its just so different to most of the things that are on newgrounds.

Also you must have guts to leave a movie like this up, cos surely youd want to forget about times like that by now?

Anyway, out of interest whats up now? Do you hate her now or what, did you stay "just friends", did you get an explanation? Maybe you could post a follow up, to give your movie an ending kinda.

While the movie was interesting, it was lacking a little bit in entertainment value. I know to you what happened was bad and all that, but to NG users its kindof common/uninteresting. I kinda liked it cos it was original, and something people can relate to, although I can see why some people didnt like it.

By the way, congrats on getting into the top 50!

Thanks for the grats! Nah, I don't hate her, because this is a common thing to people. No matter how much you hear about it from others, the first time you fall hard. Even times after, but most of each time you learn more and more about relationships, even if you don't know it and it's staring you dead in the eye. Nah, never did get that explanation and not even friends. Maybe one day in the future someone will contact the other and be friends. Even if that doesn't happen, I still can look at the good times that we had and look into the future of what will become of next with others.

The thing of it that you don't understand is... critisizing without a warrant excuse. Yes, people say, "this sucks" or what not before they actually see it. That's good that you can deal with your problems, so can I. The movie I made was RIGHT AFTER my breakup. Take a long relationship and have it blow up in my face without an excuse or answer. That's some shit right there. What do people usually do after a breakup? Drink and drink? Hit walls? Beat up their ex? Take out their anger in stupid ways? Yes. This is how I took out my hurt... by making a movie. This was so that people can relate to it, not judge (in a sense of "get over it, wussy!" type judgement). Just about everyone can relate to it. If they can't, then probably they havn't had something special as that. Like I said, you see all these violent, etc movies on here, and not much about different subjects. Take something to the next level sometime. Look at it in different views. Actually think what is in your life that effects you. This is something that effectED me... but no longer has. (oh ya, it wasn't the word BUB, it was the word MOVIES. I didn't make MOVIES, i made A MOVIE.) (german porn, uhk!)

Movie(s)? Why is this plural, "BUB"? This one has been on here since January 9th, 2001. Yet, somehow, it ends up on the top 50 three times. I don't see YOU making movies of bunny rabbits getting blown up my a super dick disguised as Jesus with a vibrator! When you make a movie, I'll applaud you. Reason being? It takes awhile to make a movie. Sometimes we need to see something DIFFERENT then things getting annihailated or getting "fucked". There ARE things in this world that have truth and meaning rather than blown-up stick figures getting ass-fucked. This movie is made by heart, not by a rat race to see who can make the best sex/violence movie. If you came here to see all of that shit that you said, see something else. Something drew you to this movie just to even respond to it, wonder what? Depressed are ya? Then look no further, there are pills that WILL help you, or it's probably best to see a doctor for your problems. Now the questions that remain is: Why did you even watch this movie? Why did you even review it? You saw the title. You shouldv'e known from the get-go what it was!
