Nice work with this. The sprites work well.
I have a few suggestions:
1) Add Sound
2) Add some extra features (maybe let the person choose the costume)
3) Make a Shingo Interactive Fighter!!!!!

Graphics are very nice, but it would be good if
the character could do a little more. By that i
mean there should be more to do than press
different buttons to cause the character to go
through certain motions...there should be a
storyline or something the character needs to
accomplish. The button in the lower left hand
corner of the window, btw, caused the error
message "File couldn't be found." to appear.

I am Iori fan myself and this kinda not bad for me, try to make more actions... like fighting.
