Description

"We’re going Big Block Mode!"

In Big Block Mode, there are two phases: the "Small Block" phase, and the "Big Block" phase

Gameplay

Phases

Small Block (Builder) Phase

  • Your goal is to put together a set of 3 tetrominos in order to create a more manageable "bigger" piece that is carried forward to the Big Block phase

Big Block Phase

  • Use the blocks assembled from the Small Block phase similarly to Tetris

Time Constraint

Every phase lasts for a total of 10 seconds, so use your Small Block phases wisely in order to make your Big Block phase easier

Build Block Order

As you progress, more Small Block phases are added to the game. You can change the order of the blocks being sent to the Big Block phase by clicking the arrows in the Build Block Order UI.

The current Small Block is at the top of the queue and is empty. You can change its order during the same phase you're building it.

Additional Clarifications

Unplaced Blocks

On Small Block phase: Individual unplaced tetrominos are added to the Big Block build queue

On Big Block phase: All remaining blocks are dropped randomly onto the stage

Progress Bar

The progress bar at the top of the screen indicates what phase you are in in a given rotation.

  • They grey lines indicate the transition to an additional Small Block phase.
  • The gold line indicates a transition to the Big Block phase.

Nice one

So this one was like tetris but you really added some nice features and really switched up the gameplay love the layout board and the effects along with sounds made it more then your average tetris game, So I found this entery to be alot of things but mostly it was interesting it kept me wanting to see what else you had in store but I can see with this kind of stuff you have me hooked and even wanting more, So its a very acceptable game entry and I look forward to more work from that mind of yours, more then your average tetris game
