Controls are WASD or arrow keys to move and look up/down; space, Z, or Q to jump; and shift, X, or E to drill.
I'd recommend looking at the in-game guide and messing with free-play mode to get the hang of how the game plays. Or just dive headfirst into the dailies, it's a free country.
I made this game because I like the trend of little daily word games that started last year with Wordle and wanted to make one myself that blends Mr. Driller with a crossword puzzle.

the death plane goes a bit too fast though, and the screen shake makes it hard to see the letters
The visual and audio of this game nails the retro style in a more authentic way than most. Maybe this is my skill issue, but I just can't get far in this game. After word 2 the death ceiling approaches way too fast for me to handle. I also feel like the controls don't make a ton of sense? Having a separate button for drilling adds a layer which makes it tough for me to make quick movements. That and the jump button seem unnecessary when the all I ever need to do is drill.
great game! if you could drill diagonally that would be great.
