the momentum you get from stopping movement is really weird even if it doesn't come into play much.

It's another HaxeFlixel game! For another Game Jam!
You are a skeleton OVERLORD! You must gather up some friendly skeleton buddies and face off in the arena against other overlords.
SURVIVAL
Survive for as long as you can. Defeating overlords grants 2 points. Each buddy multiplies these points granted by 1 for each buddy. For instance, if you have 2 buddies, killing an overlord gives you 4 points. 10 buddies, you get 20.
SACRIFICE
You must collect buddies and bring them back to your goal to score points. Stop the enemies from scoring points by stealing (or killing) their buddies before they bring them back to their goal. First to 30 points wins.
WASD/Arrow keys - movement
Point and click - shoot stuff, make buddies shoot stuff
Shift/Space - move slower and buddies shoot accurately
F - fullscreen toggle

It wasn't great and real repetitive. But....Keep it up. There is some real potential. Maybe upgrades or roguelike elements could help it for sure.
