Made me feel quite pathetic.

So someone in another review described this as an "art game," and while I understand where that person is coming from with that diagnosis, I do not believe this characterization to be completely accurate. Whereas most "art games" (like The Stanley Parable, Portal, Undertale, ...etc.) only provide a tiny amount of gameplay in order to focus on the story that the gamekeeper is trying to convey, "my pathetic life" flips the genre on its head,displaying what at first seems like little to no narrative, but then expands into a story of infinite, soul-crushing despair. You *could* select each option given to you only once and then quit the game and call it crap. *Or* you could play it proper, going around again in NEW GAME+ mode, trying a different sequence in which to spend your pathetic day of your pathetic life, until you've played through all the possible combinations. Only then will you know. Also, going outside is a game over.

This is a very symbolic game emplacing what Newgrounds has become; once something lovely in the past and now reveals what the lives' of many have endured through the 5 to 8 million years of evolution (according to Bill Nye - fyi, Bill Nye, your schemes have gone long enough and now it's time to repent!!!!111). I believe the stickman is a representation of how us 90s kids grew up watching stickmen fighting on Newgrounds, and now we've become stick people that do nothing much at all; we're boring, we piss on the floor occasionally, we breath, we piss, we shit, and most importantly we go outside every once and a while to see that there's nothing there for us there either - so band together stick people of Nudegrounds!!! LET US PERSIST ON UNTIL OBLIVION FOR THE MOTHERLAANNNNNNNDDDDDDD!!!!
