It's been just over a year since this was originally finished, but because the music I'd used before had been copyrighted, it's never been able to leave the web. Azhthar has created a gorgeous original score for PRISM and I wanted to reupload this new version so that he could be recognized for all his hard work.

PRISM tells a tale of human connections in the modern age, its characters woven together by relationships and circumstance. PRISM is a visual poem that explores a variety of themes such as the passage of time, human development, and finding one's place within society.

Excellent video! The writing of this story was carefully made and narrated really well to heavy focus on the emotional sides that is life. Honestly, i'm not sure if this is really related to the video or not, but that ending about the stars reminded me alot of a song I really like from my favorite music band "Les Cowboys Fringants" called "Les étoiles filantes" which translates to the shooting stars. It has the same theme about the good and the bad moments in life while also being about how short it can be, death and rebirth. The link of the song is down below if you are interested to take a listen, altought it's in french. However, you can check for translations on sites like GENIUS to understand the lyrics.

Thanks! I still think this is probably my best cartoon from a writing standpoint, and it always makes me happy to hear people are still checking it out from time to time.

The whole souls in the stars concept isn’t something original to this story, but it’s an image I’ve always loved to think about. I’ll definitely have to check out this song here in the morning. :)

Thanks! I haven’t seen a new review for this cartoon in ages, but it’s secretly my favorite thing I’ve ever made. This really makes my day.

I almost feel like these two things would have been better separate.

By that I mean, either just go with the narration, or just go with the animation.

Together, they seem redundant. Just my thoughts.

Still, very good technical chops here. Keep on chugging.

Thanks, I understand what you're getting at. My goal with the animation was to put the poem into a context. I meant for the poem itself to be more open to interpretation and this was meant to be one such interpretation of that.

5 minutes of hipster "LOOK AT HOW MEANINGLESS WE ARE!" talk.

Nice music, visuals are meh, the voice actor could use a better microphone and pronouncing the "P" in a more subtle way.

Music is everything.
