After getting used to it its actually quite fun. When you get the 3rd jump on lvl19 the other levels get much easier. I hope some people play the highscore leaderboards (again).
Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.
Huge thanks to everyone so far for playing!
And another huge thanks for getting me to the Daily Picks 3rd place, that was awesome!
Please enjoy the more or less finished version of my first Stencyl game!
A huge thanks to all of my friends for the hours of beta testing they did for me and to MadMark for doing some guitar riffs for background music.
I hadn't really planned to submit this to any game jam,
So I ran out of time to do a decent ending or request any lengthy music tracks eg.: a boss battle theme, a fitting track for the tutorial stage,... So please excuse the looping music.

Pixel perfection required + bad hit detection + abysmal frame rate + badly responsive control + inconsistent jump heights especially on the double jump does not equal good gameplay.
Nor is making the screen freaking huge ever a good idea.
This game is hard, but you haven't achieved Meatboy status due to see all of the above flaws.
I loved the game, hard and fast, but I think the music was not well-selected. And it's not because I don't like the song, it's just because I don't think it fits the game, and I don't like playing while dealing with two different concepts that don't seem to connect. But maybe it's just my perception. By the way, a bug was making me die twice every time I died, so my kills were the double they should be. Overall, good game, better with another music.
Hard as Boiled Shit but very Rewarding when Finished.
Kinda fun and cute.
Sometimes the jetpack is immediately fired after pressing jump.
Cant get past level 13 though... its hard enough to get past the first spikes.
Still, good job ^_^
