alright! army sharpshooter!... 2!
well, to start with, i like how more or less consistent the interface and general tone is. well done. i enjoy the background art, but in terms of animation it did get a bit silly when people looked like they're crumpling to the ground when they should have been in mid air. the animation was a bit stiff, too.
what i did notice though, is that... nobody attacks you. NOBODY ATTACKS YOU.
they're literally just running away half the time, and yet we shoot them because the floating blue hologram says the score is rising while the androgynous person in the balaclava directs me to More Shooting Games!
that simply made no sense to me because they're supposed to be... invading forces closing in on my position! opposing army soldiers! HAVE THEM DO THINGS OTHER THAN SCURRY AROUND ON A BATTLEFIELD WHILE ONE PERSON(me) GUNS THEM ALL DOWN
and i notice we have a pistol but also... scope in on things??? i don't think pistols do that, usually, but i'm not exactly a pistol person haha. i also don't believe sharpshooters use pistols.
for me at least, the game slows down a hole lot when i'm zoomed in, but i'm not sure if that's intentional or if it's just a problem on my end. it doesn't make a whole lot of sense and a person could really finish the game easy in just scope mode because it's easier than regular mode.
i don't really understand why the health numbers show up either because we basically one-hit kill them, hmm.
it's not an awful game. it has some of the best sound-effects i've heard on a newgrounds fps! it's not an awful game, but it sure as hell can be improved.
