Game developed for the Candy Jam.
Arrow keys to move and jump.
Spacebar to create an apple (Logically apples kill Zombie Candies).
Was not bad for what it was. I enjoyed the physics. Jumping was considerably faster than walking. Being able to throw the apples would be a nice touch. Maybe add a little animation to the background.
Interesting concept. I also like the health bar being your teeth and they decay the more you get hit by(or eat) the candy.
As far as gameplay, I find it cumbersome to run as the girl, its much quicker to jump, but that could easily be fixed. Also you can't walk up the hill(albeit even slowly), much too difficult to try to jump, drop an apple on the candy's head, and escape without being harmed. Maybe if you could jump a bit higher? Unless being difficult is your goal, but if thats the case perhaps some worth while sense of accomplishment should be offered.
I would say work on this and expand on it.
Thanks, I will remember it.
What I like :
- The music is nice, and catchy.
- Apples have PHYSICS, do you see this, Newton ?!
- Nice concept, and damage indicator.
- The fact, that I'm pointing this out, so this review will loke more profesional.
What I would change :
- The AI of zombies.
- The background should move a little, so you have that feeling of movement.
- Better walking animations.
What would you change of the AI of zombies?
First obvious problem is that the game size is tiny! It is a good concept, though, and the controls are simple. I think it'd be cool if the player could throw or otherwise aim the apples, instead of having to run back after dropping one, or even worse having to watch it roll all the way down a hill and wait for the zombies to reach the bottom.
I was thinking do the characters more slow. Tiny size is important because is a tiny game :P
I found this game very fun, its simple yet very fun. the only thing I think that might make this better is if the apple was placed in front of you
Good idea, thanks.
