The legend of HATTUKETTU - Glitch of AIVOKUOLEMA is a game about a fox that ends up in a glitched nes world, maybe it had something to do with Mario's mushrooms. Im testing things out here, feel free to try it out and give me feedback! This is completely non profit project, i dont mean to steal anything, the whole point is to visit these glitchy classics with a foxy twist :D

Interesting.
Interesting indeed.
It was quite an intriguing concept, One that drew me to the game. Reminds me of an age old Sega Genesis game "Kid Chameleon" where you had to pick up different hats to use different powers.. But, Anyway, A nice concept. The gameplay was alright, But I've a question. Why is Samus constantly in morph-ball mode? Is it simply to accommodate the fox? I think you need to put a little more work into the level design, And then maybe, I don't know.. Add new hats! (New hats are always nice!) I've really no recommendations in particular though, It's a nice game all around, With a nice concept. (Also, Samus can't climb?)

Hattukettu responds:

I will probably make the hats more deep, like as with samus helmet you would have normal stance and the morph ball, maybe even a missile or lets say a screwattack (spin jump) :) And when in a morph ball, no laddering, i will add some elements that will take full advantage of the morph ball mode.. but then again, there are a kiloton to add and so little time :) i have to take some time out of my work! :D I give myself a month to release next demo, with completelly new levels to try out, i will go to a slighlty bigger level layout allso.. anyways, stay tuned, i will make the best of it! :)

Here is a new example how i will make the experience more deep: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEmRKmMxI98&feature=youtu.be

It's awesome :3, I Liked it.

Hattukettu responds:

Thank you! Very fun to make, i will give you guys more levels to mess up (and maybe even more hats! ) Soon! :)

there was a game at one time called Kid Kemelon where you would run around picking up hats. with each hat your skills changed so i know that this type of game play works. i think the biggest problem i am seeing in the game at this time is that the controls are not stream lined. now if you where to say mack left and right arrows your movie command and then A jump S run adn D action command i think i it would make your game easier to understand and more expressible to all players. then maybe add a point systum adn i life counter would make this look more like a 8-16 bit game.

Hattukettu responds:

Yes, on next demo i will streamline the controls, and make it probably possible to change to your liking :), there is a simple life bar allready, i will add life's, and ability to take your last hat to the next level, etc, this demo is just to make the concept bublic! I really think this is going to stay in a 8-16bi void, lets call it 10bit, that really would be glitchy!

The game has a lot of potential. It's really fun and definitely addictive. My only gripe would be that in a few areas there isn't any clear direction for what you're supposed to do. The level that said to "use your NES wisdom" was impossible for me. I would break the blocks to the right of the ladder and then come to a dead end with no clear way out. I eventually had to quit there because I couldn't figure out how to go any further. That was really disappointing, because I wanted to keep going!

Hattukettu responds:

Oh now i get what you mean :) Well try to go to the end with mario's hat ;) Pipe POWER!

not bad its cool

Hattukettu responds:

Thank you kind sir! I have been making it during this summer, as a hobby. Fun thing to mess up with :) Adding more hats to the mix later!
