Story: Good
Execution: Not so good

This game has an overall feel of 'you tried too hard'. Needless to say that the controls were a little messed up as, really, you don't even need the mouse- just the spacebar and arrow keys. And the art really shouldn't have been mouse only as it looks as though a child drew it (Unless you ARE a child....) which dragged the quality of the game down. The sounds used were pretty good but the game is too dragged out, and for someone with a small attention span, like me- I got bored very quickly.

Just take more time in the execution and the game would be great.

This game had some great "WTF" moments, great sound, and it was interesting. I also enjoy the pixel art. It looks and sounds very nice!

However, It feels very much like it is an art game for the sake of being an art game. You made the argument in previous reviews about that it's an art game so it plays more like a movie. What? Game is still in the title. I'm not saying it needs platforming or a point system, but it does need something that makes the player feel like they are affecting the story instead of moving a character through the motions.

I'm also not able to input the password. Not because I have no idea what it is (I don't), but because it never asks me. I've played through 4 times and have not seen it. Am I doing something wrong?

You seem like a nice guy, so I would love to see you get better in the future!

I'd try to find some redeeming qualities, but I really can't. The art is absolutely horrible, the sounds uninspired and the game play is boring. I get that it's supposed to be creepy, but I don't FEEL it.

I managed to get the password. It's... sheesh. I don't like it. You guys were right to look at the numbers, but they have nothing to do with the first password. It's on newgrounds, but you'll have to look elsewhere.

Other than that, what can I say? It's a fine start to a story. The atmosphere is done well, the music is good, the graphics are good.

There's no animation to speak of, neither is there any real gameplay. Honestly? Just a walking animation, even if it was just as slow as the character is already, would have made a world of difference for me.

So three minor things, two that I liked, one that I didn't.

I liked how (I didn't see this until the second time) the dead astronaut was clearly NOT John. Different suit! I also liked how inside the station was a safe zone until the end of the game - splitting up the game world into safe and unsafe and then taking away the safety is a neat trick.

I did not like how the dead astronaut had apparently hung himself in one shot. I know this is a tiny little quibble, but the fact that it was with a regular boring rope sort of broke the futuristic aesthetic for me - I really liked his graphic when he was torn up, the hanging just seemed out of place.

All in all, I'd say I'm satisfied!

Pro's:

I like the idea.

It did have a creepiness to it.

Somethings I didn't expect.

Con's:

Heavily scripted, I think it would have been better as a movie.

Overly pretentious; while it did have a few moments, the same idea and anti-guy lacked purpose and reason for their exsistance. I understand horror games need to keep a mystery in order to make it compelling, but that idea is usually associated with a build up to that led to that feeling. I'm sure you tried this by limiting movement a bit, but the game is still less than 5 min long.

Scare tactics; I think you jumped the gun a bit. Sure it did have some atmosphere, but when I started to get drawn in, something happens to shock you and you lose your composure.

Conclusion:

Great idea, not great execution.

Fix: Perhaps make the game a bit longer, such as make it more than 3 days, like perhaps a week. I'm sure many people will complain that the game will be too long, but if atmosphere is what your really going for, you really have to pull them in.

But that's just my two cents, you get a 3.
