A fun time killer no doubt. Once you get the hang of it and hold out on moving to Vancouver until you have a highly skilled team of 8 the rest is simple. Hire two more in Vancouver and train them to the highest level while cranking out two teams of small projects, then work on a medium one. Rinse wash repeat for large scale games once the move to Montreal is in place. All that stands in the way at that point is time itself; just keep craning out those games.

I'm giving this 2.5 stars, because I feel like this game is a fun, solid waste of time, but that there are a lot of things that can be improved upon. The tutorial in the beginning, as many have stated, doesn't make certain things clear at all. It doesn't make it clear the basics, like how you can change the name of the games you release, or the fact that training your employees only teaches them the program but that their experience stays the same. It also doesn't make it clear that having a lot of decorations somehow improves the quality of the game or that you can change the type of water and food being served to give different bonuses.

My own personal issues with the game are that there is no in game save option, you have to save to your computer. I also don't like the fact that if a certain group of people finish way before the rest of the project does (i.e. in games where there's a ton of coding and literally all the other workers do nothing but sleep the rest of the time), you can't utilize those employees for anything until the entire game is finished. I don't see why that's a good idea, especially since once you hit the big games, that can mean an entire month goes by with your art employees doing absolutely nothing. I also strongly dislike the fact that you have to complete the in game rewards in order in order to get any sort of bonus, especially with how puny those bonuses are. 9001 dollars for getting all the awards after I already had to get a 6000 quality game? My company is already worth billions. 9001 dollars doesn't even cover my monthly costs. That's the sort of bonus that makes way more sense if it's accessible early in the career where you need that sort of money. So either have it so that you can win these rewards in game at any time or up the prize.

I only realized how realistic this simulator was when I was starting to hire people for no other reason that to have more people hired than the other guys.

Great game, too. Nice, simple, and addictive. However, the 'close' buttons being on the bottom of every window can get annoying.
