Yep, it's done.

Second Wind, folks, Second Wind is here.

It's a witty blend of Text Adventure, Roguelike, and Sweet Simplicity.

All in all, there are 20 classes, three skills each, three major areas, four endings, countless monsters (as in, I'm too lazy to count them,) treasures, specialty shops, equips, weapons, and more.

Folks, this is one big game.

Also, there are medals, lots of em'

I sincerely dare you to beat the game on Nethack Difficulty.

And remember, dying is all a part of the experience :D

enjoi.

The last update was on October 21st, Version 1.57:

- Fixed up the Saiyan's awaken doing absolutely nothing.
- Fixed the broken meter glitch... Hopefully.
- The "explore" segment should run faster.
- And some other stuff I can't remember.

Send a PM with any additional problems and I'll get on them as soon as possible!

Simple, but not immediately accessible. Fortunately the wiki can clear up any questions. I've noticed a few issues: parry is mostly useless and sometimes heals the opponent and sometime runes are introduced with the note text.

I have been visiting newgrounds and enjoying it's movies, games and music for over 6 years now and I never bothered to make an account until now. This game was the last motivation I needed to sign up into newgrounds. I know this isn't much of a review, but it's good to have in mind that this game is so good that it made me join the site, at last, after all these years.

No doubt the most addictive game since bloons tower defense 4.

Quick tips to all reading this: Most classes should be played on easy or medium, since the lack of healing on Nethack will destroy you early on. Also, because the auto save feature kicks in after area 1, you should avoid using second wind after you reach area 2, as this merely wastes your gold and whatever potions you used before dying. Dexterity is by far the most important stat, as having a low dex means that you can miss 3-10 times before finally hitting the enemy, so try to just increase that through the "Wing offering" and avoid the "Armor offering" as this lowers your dex!

Looking to beat it on Nethack? Become a Paladin. The Paladin is one of two classes with a healing ability, and it far outstrips the cleric. While yes, your heal and mercy abilities cost gold, they pretty much guarentee that you will not die in battle, so avoid wasting all of your cash on equipment, leaving about 100 or so for battles. Mercy's armor boost makes you invulnerable for a few turns, while the dex boost gives you a 100% chance to hit the enemy (Very usefull for bosses). The strength boost is pretty useless though. Unfortunately, it could take you one cast or ten casts to get the Dex boost if you need it, so again, SAVE YOUR GOLD!

I've seen people complain about the paladin, but I have not seen a better class. I beat it on Nethack with the paladin, but I have a lot of issues reaching area 2 with any other class on easy. The Oni class is somewhat good due to its major damage output, but the lack of healing will get it killed time and again.

Also, the bard is the second most difficult class to unlock, and the hardest to play in my opinion, so ESKENS INCORPERATED CHALLENGE ISSUED: Beat the game on Nethack with the Bard!Good luck <3

Eskens

I love how people are making strategies for this, care to contribute to the wiki? It's in dire need of a "strategies" section for each class.

I absolutely loved this game, put it straight to nethack and beat it. I was a ranger. I put loads of points into dex and spammed triple to win. But one question...

How do you get the good ending? I was so pissed when I went through all that and got the 'Average' ending!

Look at the Wiki :D

Well, is an excellent time-killer, some powers are equal to IDDQD +IDFA (by example the boom of the darkfolk) someother need sensless effort to reach the level of the basic attack. (emnity) and also then are useless

the craft of the lime knight basically raises his cost way too quick.

Beside this, the real issue is the explanation of the powers, sometimes is really confusing, or maybe my english is not good enough... a power debuffs 3,14% charisma... to who, to my avatar or to my opponent? is really hard to understand what´s going on from the screen, and the messages erased by enemy attack don´t help very much.

squidly responds:

The Wiki is there for clarification, I only have two lines to deal with here, folks!

And uh... There is no charisma stat?
