Welcome to Plexgao, a game of mind! A simple turn based puzzle game in which you build shapes, jump enemies, and fight for board control. Play against the 5 different Ai or play your buddy via the local Versus option. Intuitive like checkers, complex like chess.

Note: I suggest looking at the tutorial before playing to get the overall all concept of the game, then start by playing the Beginner Ai.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it, this game is really awesome against another person and in the future I hope to make this have an Online versus option, but the Ai is still pretty decent and I will continue to update them to keep them on Parr. Thanks for taking the time to check out Plexago.

Some Dev stuff - 3 Scenes, 17 Frames, 414 Symbols. Designed in Flash Pro 8 using As2. Took about 3 Months to make, and I look forward to making more maps, better Ai, and more customization!

I found the game to be fairly intuitive and approachable-- which is an often overlooked trait in strategy games despite how important it is to the overall experience. The basic concept of the game was also quite fun, but fundamentally Plexago has the same flaw as any e-board game which is the AI can never provide a satisfyingly robust challenge. After about 6-7 times of playing the plexigod I pretty much found out it's basic strategy and how to beat it. Without an online versus option the game can hardly be called complete.

Other than that, a few small gripes: the tutorial would loop if you hit the continue button again and I couldn't figure out how to exit in the middle of it. Locked tiles are a little difficult to distinguish from live tiles. Also, the utility of the text seems to have been a secondary consideration-- a lot of the buttons and text are not as obvious as I believe they could (should?) be.

Thanks for the review, honestly its people like you that motivate me to make these games and I appreciate your input definitely very helpful. I definitely understand where your coming from with the Ai, I didn't want to publish the game because I thought it was too easy, interestingly enough most people thought it was too hard haha. I'm forsure bout to get this shit online as soon as I can, yee.

Good potential, but fundamentally flawed objectives.

Really love to see new puzzle games created, and I genuinely think they has some gas to go places, but the scoring system is a little off, and it's almost like the game doesn't really know what to call itself. It's an Othello-Connect4-TicTacToe hybrid that doesn't work because there's too much going on, and thus the game becomes frustrating and boring for the player. Strategy is also way too easy in this as well. Clump all your pieces together so you can never get jumped, and watch your score soar into the freakin' sky.

Don't try to do too much at once, and make the scoring simpler (in terms of the shapes needed to gain points). When a jump also rewards you just as well as a 4/5/6 piece set-up shape, you're asking for trouble imho. Maybe make it so that you can jump between many squares, not just the 1. (Black-White-White-White-Black, turns to 5 Black's in a row, for example).

Good effort, but really needs to be testing and critically analysed before being launched as a playable, multiplayer game. Good luck.

Honestly I'm questioning whether r not you actually played my game, based on you statements I don't think you did. For example jumps reward you with only 50 points where as each piece in the shape will reward you 50, so a shape of 5 would be 5 x 50 = 250 points. Also the jumping work like this: pieces can only be if it is {White Black White} or {Black White Black} either horizontally or Diagnolly. As far as the strategy with clumping pieces together goes, it might work in certain scenarios or even against the Ai, but the major problem with it is you built shapes before you mean to. A better Strategy is to space you pieces out and lay traps that will force your enemy to be jumped, allowing you to control more pieces and board space. I appreciate the review, I just don't think you an me were playing the same game...

Sorry to hear that man, although the beginner Ai is fairly easy relative to Plexigod, they all have different play styles and that makes them have a unique difficulty for different play styles... But if your still interested in learning play Versus against your friend it'll help a lot.

this is just a flash game, it shouldn't be so programing intense that it bogs down my whole system. you need to streamline the programing or add a way to dial back the quality for speed cuz i cant even play this game the way it is.

Ya it is a flash... There's a huge settings menu in the main menu that you can use to tweak the quality, graphics, & sound. That should help, but I had to sacrifice a bit of lag to make a better Ai.
