Well made, and nice twist on the game but it is kind of lacking. Could use some additions to make it more interesting at the risk of ruining the classic feel of the game.

Hey! Look! It's Pole Position! But backwards!

I like to go fast. This game accomplishes that feat. However, the fact that I'm going in reverse does little more than provide an illusion as to why the controls are backward. It comes off as gimmicky at first, but then I stopped caring. It doesn't matter which way is left if you've got the muscle memory for it.

The music is good enough. It won't win any Grammy's, and it's a little hokey, but I won't tell.

When it comes to the actual racing mechanics, things get weird. Whenever I got first place, it feels like luck was being tested instead of any actual skill. Furthermore, the timing system is just a wall. I would be starting out just fine, but then I would miss the checkpoint by a second and have to repeat the last 10 seconds of my life. Why? What's the reason for this? If I'm not going fast enough, I won't come in first place. I don't need another mechanism to make me feel bad. I do have mirrors in my house, you know. I come here to feel good.

Anywho. This game is very "good enough." It needs an original idea and does not find one. That doesn't mean it sucks, though.

And the fact that you cant fall off the track, and hitting the side of the road doesnt slows you down. Means you can just hold down the down button, and finish 2nd ( cuss i cant seem to win a single race). So my advice is: start learning some decent programming and come back. because im sure you can do better

Must be crazy to actually try this at home. It's a good game. Could you please simmer down the difficulty? I wanna clear the 1st stage soo bad.
