Wonderful game, even if it is a "demo".

I think I've figured out the problems a lot of people seem to be having with this game. You see, the reason the game is "unfinished" is because it is a cut-down, free version of a $6 Android game (I believe.) A little research has brought me to some videos of the "full game" in action. There are several more songs, and the two rooms that seem to be missing from this version really do exist.

But anyway, I should review this game for what it is. It is indeed an excellent game. Nearly every song was very-nicely remixed and I enjoyed the rock-styled mixes as much as the classical ones. The fact that you combined music and puzzles was a very unique concept. My one gripe about the game is the point-and-click aspects of it. The graphics were stunning, don't get me wrong, and I would guess they were made from actual photos of somebody's house. It's just that, like most static-image point-and-click games, it turns into a pixel hunt after awhile. A few of the outlines are really difficult to spot and some I just got lucky with by clicking around. I loved the sound production, though, and it was sort of fun interacting with the different objects in each room. The flavor text for some objects and for all the songs was interesting to read and I learned some things I didn't know, which is always nice.

Overall, it's a great game, even if it is short and actually a cut-down version. The music remixes were great and were very inventive. The design was fantastic, with each song having its own style to the blocks as well as the instrumentation. Getting to hear each separate part of the song was also neat and gives some insight into how those pieces were composed.

I give this game a nine for a couple reasons. First, it was confusing having two extra spaces on the map for rooms that were there, but taken out. Another reason I couldn't give a ten is because of one or two of the songs (Yankee Doodle for example) which sounded a bit off. Lastly, the point-and-click segments, though somewhat enjoyable, ended up becoming clickfests after a bit. Despite Musaic Box's flaws, it is still an excellent game that I would recommend to anyone interested in pre 20th-century music. And if you want to see the other two rooms and a few more songs, search up some videos or, heck, why not go buy the game if you have a phone that can play it? It's only $6.

Pretty good concept.

The only thing I have to say against it is the problem other users have had - I must test it, but I think the problem comes from when you transition to the next room without finding all the pieces in the last room.

Although I also found the fix on how to be able to restart the game: right click, go to the storage options, set it to 0, apply. Restart the game and your savegame will be erased.

Great but...

Loved it,but I have the same problem as some people. I can't access room 4, although I've collected andsolve every piece. That's sad.
