Take time to practice and then go for the 2 jump competition. Distance and style count, so although you can get more distance by leaning way forward, try to find a balance between distance and style, not to mention that landing in a too far forward leaning position may result in a nasty fall.
Too simplistic
As other have stated, this game lacks challenges. You don't actually need any skills to land and you can't perform any tricks. This game would greatly benefit from the addition of other mountains, competitions, change in background and additional achievements.
Overall it's a nice little time waster, but sadly it doesnt have the key features that keep the player entertained and wanting to play more. I found myself bored after a couple of attempts.
It's not that kind of a game. Not saying I would not include all that in another version, but this is supposed to be about 2 jumps only and the highest score you can get out of those 2, just like in real ski jump competition.
Well...
You don't even have to land correctly... You can just jump and hold the right arrow to maximize your distance, and get a high score. Major bug that ruined the game.
You can maximize your distance that way, but you will not get the highest possible score doing that, if you are just leaning forward and almost crashing. The point is to get the longest distance while maintaining more or less neutral flight pose or finding the right balance between the two. Obviously timing at takeoff plays just as an important role.
Bland
It would be nice if their was a little more skill involved, as well as different types of games like jump through fire rings, or buttons to do moves for bonus points. Also a button to redo the championship, I had to keep going back to the main menu to start the championship again and again... would of saved a lot of time if I could of just pressed 'r'

it seems very dumbed down.
There is no wind or any options for telemarks.
Also there is no actually hill.
And last but not least: no Austrian jumper? They dominate that sport for years, while USA don't even have a jumper in the worldcup...
