15 seconds of gruesome goodness! This took a frustratingly long time to do, due to the fact that all of the sticks are exceptionally skilled at blocking, so they don't take turns unloading combos on each other.

8/11/11 UPDATE: I've added an optional VCam (which lags) and a couple angles, prolonging the animation time to 22 seconds. Reviews before this date will be from people who have not seen these features.

I love it but some lines weren't perfect, great work and is probably one of the best works i've seen dealing with sticks

Kwing responds:

Lines weren't perfect? The swords stretch and squash to express depth. If you're talking about the characters' limbs, rigid limbs show that a stick is in control of that muscle group. Conversely, curved limbs show that a stick figure is not in control of that muscle groupo.

i like it :=)

very nice short, people take for granted how difficult it is to make more than 2 things move at once, little short, but thats not the reason im giving you a 9, I dont like long things anyways

Kwing responds:

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Animating three figures at once took a while, but more importantly, animating good swordplay seems to be the hardest task.

Very nice!!!!

I have absolutely NO complaints! The movements we're so smooth, the artwork was nice especially with the 3D effects, and the action made it fun to watch. You're a great stick animator. (:

Good animation

Now, I might be biased when it comes to these flashes, but either way:

Your animation style is very smooth, much better than about 70-80% of the stick flash movies submitted to Newgrounds every month. They've got a natural flow, and the graphics look as good as they can, I guess.

My big issue is that there's nothing to this 15-second flash, other than three random sticks fighting. There's no backstory, there's no goal, there's nothing to it, they're just fighting, which seems rather meaningless and pointless to me.

I'm also not sure what the background is, looking at it it just seems like something slapped on to give the flash another level of depth? I see the broken house and car, but the perspective would mean this guys are standing really slanted.

There's no replay button at the end, and it doesn't loop. The music you put in was pretty epic, though, and fit well with the scene of the battle. Try to add a replay button and add some story to it, make it longer. This is not original at all. I can easily see a lot of work went into making this, considering how smooth it is, but to me, it just doesn't cut it.

Kwing responds:

The down button is as effective a go-back-to-start button as any, so I didn't think a replay button was really necessary.

I have considered maybe putting in a prologue with one of the characters scavenging in the apocalyptic background and then being ambushed by the other two, but I never really gave it a whack. Maybe that would have given the animation more cinematic value and story.

It was pretty good!

I liked it. It was short, but it didn't need to be any longer. The animation was fluid and I like stick figures, so I won't take points off for that. The music choice was pretty nice too. I also liked the ability to watch the movie frame by frame.

The combos made sense and the swords weren't just being swung violently by someone with noodle arms. You have no idea how much that improves the flash for me. Seriously.

I have only one complaint, really. The background was nonsensical, distracting and almost disorienting to look at. That would be fine, but it takes up about 85% of the screen.

Overall, it was a good flash with good animation. Just fix that background.

Kwing responds:

I think it's funny that you didn't like the background, seeing as I spent a fair amount of time drawing it. I blurred it so that it would be deemphasized in comparison with the crystal-clear platforms and sticks. Thanks for the feedback though!
