Squario 2, not unlike its predecessor, is a platformer game in gameplay resembling Mario. You control a square'ish guy, whose sole purpose in life is to reach the exit of each level, and, occasionally, jump on some heads or headbutt some blocks.
Game features completely revamped levels, graphics, music and some minor and major changes to game mechanics.

Good, not great

Judging by the graphics and the acceleration system, I would infer that you're using the game factory 2 (or multimedia fusion 2 or mmf2 developer) If so, as a fellow mmf2d user, I'd recommend to look for a tutorial to make your platformer (the integrated one isn't really good). ANd as for the game, it requires more interactive enemies, different enemies and the such; but it is built on the solid mario base.

Skellus responds:

No, I think your judging is very way off. The game is based on Mario. and Mario is... WAS known to have awful movement engine, until people completely forgot about it.

God game, but don't forget that it's very similar to Mario Forever Flash and it isn't unlimited. You must make a infinite generation game as Infinite Mario and quit annoying life sistem, and add more powerups and save points. No more to say.

it was a good idea but we've all played mario ten thousand times. if you put in a little more effort you could just make a whole new game of your own. Why waste art and animation on a parody?

Rip-off with too much ripped off the original

The fun Mario mechanics are not employed (that slipping and acceleration thing); it need not be employed, of course, but then again it somehow seems as though... that speciallessness is what is to be special about Squario? Sorry, I do not get what is supposed to be fun about this game. Music loop is not done too well (that was new about the mario soundtrack, too: you were not really aware of when it ended and started over again.) Graphics are appropriate, somehow.

I'd rather play Mario.
