Since this is just a test for your new shooting style I'm going to review it like it is and score it appropriately. I'm on a mac and I don't have a number pad. I've tried every key on my keyboard and am unable to shoot. Refreshed 3 times and still notable to shoot. Which is not a surprise because the only option available is to use the 0 on the number pad which I don't have.

Maybe you could add a feature which allows the user to choose between 2 or 3 sets of controls. I'm sure that would fix the button problem.

The movement is smooth though, and I like that the hitbox is close to the size of your ship. In some shooters this is not the case and you can be killed for coming close to an enemy without actually touching it.

The controls..

We've seen this before but it doesn't mean it drags your score down. In this case, not much effort (I know you made this in a short period) has taken a lot of stars from it.
- As the title says you should make the mouse's left click/right click allow the ship to shoot. You can't shoot with one hand on the arrow keys and another on your mouse!
- Game needs an objective/goal
- More story
- Difficulties and fix the upper part and lower part of the game. You can just fly over there and avoid getting hit.
- You have 3 lives yet you die on contact with the enemies.

3/10 stars and 2/5 Pico's. Once again, your flash is only for showing off a new shooting style. This is only what I'm suggesting.

Glitchy

All you have to do is hide outside the screen and you can't lose.

Laptop users, be warned!

This game isn't laptop-user friendly. There is no numpad to shoot on most laptops, so you can't really progress.

That said, i did try this game on my desktop, and it's fine on most counts. Really like the art style and such. Keep up the work, but keep laptop users in mind in the future, and maybe use a less awkward control scheme to begin with. You aim with the mouse, why not click to shoot?
