Ok here's my anim. Yes its late i know. But i worked really hard on this, many sleepless nights.
I tried my best, but time caught up with me on this one. But i do thinik its an improvement on my last pico entry.

Initally there was a story behind this, but due to lack of time i couldnt implement that, however I thought i'd recreate my own interpretation of the convict and give him a sort of anime style look :D

Happy Belate Pico Day!

Fail, dude.

You didn't stick to the convict original, with the tie and skull face. Also, where did you get the idea pico can shoot red arrow-like projectiles from his eye? Almost like Sasuke from Naruto, in fact... but i feel this wasn't original, and you should have stuck to pico's roundhouse kick and just plain punches as well as his age. WHY DOES EVERYONE MAKE HIM OLDER?!? And where were his uzi's? I just feel this was quite unoriginal in many ways.

Drifts responds:

I dont see why your crtisizing me on using my imagination and recreating the characters in the way i want to. Animating is more of a freedom of expression, not a law. And making him shoot projectiles out of his eyes was what i wanted him to do, because i felt like it. And people can make pico older if they want, its not compulsory to make him look like a 10 year old kid.

Plus the eye was originally goin to be blue, when he shot projectiles. But Sasuke told me red is the way to go. Anyway i thank you for your comment

Nice

Well to me that convict looked like Lobo from DC. Liked the fight and the punches, bu the thing i didnt like is the running. Also BG could have been better, but looks like u were short on time so its good enough.

Pretttty

Nice work, you had some pretty cool impact shots which were pretty satisfying. I think at some points the running with the speed lines bits seemed too repetitive. Even if there is that much running around going on in the movie, it felt like there could have been a more creative workaround. I havent checked out your previous years pico entry but ill do so after this review.

I like your interpretation of convict. Its always kinda cool when people take artistic liberties on characters you've made. I wish there was more of his morphing integrated into the movie but I like how he looks in this movie.

Good work!

Got the right idea, but alot's not yours.

It seems like you understand what makes a decent fight scene, unfortunately all the good parts were ripped from random anime cartoons. I never forget shots when I see them, if you're going to copy shots from Sword of the Stranger and Naruto you need to at least give credit to people who came up with the real compositions. The parts you didn't copy were pretty stiff, I really think a better investment of your time would be learning to compose shots that are dynamic and fluid like the ones you referenced rather than just remaking them. But if I can recognize them, they were at least copied decently, keep practicing though. It's better that it look bad and be yours than look half decent and be copied.
