gut game is so funny..nice for be free tensions...how stress and more.
The good: Classic formula, solid top-down shooter, plenty of weapons, genius means of unlocking said weapons.
The Bad: A seemingly null value for the drop rate of health packs, I've only seen these little wonders on my first and last (most recent, I mean) runs, about 3 or 4 per (there were 3 or 4 runs in-between where I never saw ONE...); Second, there is NO means of accessing weapons that you have already purchased to adapt to the situation... When I found out that the laser rifle was (BIG SHOCK) Semi-automatic, there was no means to go back to the tried and true automatic pistol version.
Final Verdict: As said in the title, MEH... This game is OK, but some very scewed settings and obvious flaws drag it WAY down for me...
Dude, you made this game from an ole timy arcade machine game... something about a guy going in and shooting thousands of enimies in this very format while being video taped on a game show. You go and collect gifts, toasters, and all sorts of stuff. You also went through rooms and could find some uber secret shit.
You have to start all over if you die?
No room for mistakes is there?
I know that personally, i dont feel like replaying the entire game at a chance to get back where i was.
I'd buy that for a dollar!
This is pretty much Smash T.V. And like Smash T.V., the campy game show setting elevates it above the usual mindless kill-all shooters seen on flash game sites. The gory "prizes" were a hoot! I liked the variety of weapons, and how every path seemed perfectly useful (the completely overpowered laser gatling notwithstanding). Initially not being able to select previous weapons bugged me, but as it went on this became a smart feature, it makes you think carefully about your weapon choices and removes the inventory of weapons you'll never use that other games of this type wind up giving you. My only real gripe was a little lack of variety: more bosses and enemy types would do wonders, and the music was rather repetitive, though so low-key that it was hardly noticeable. Also, an actual ending would be good :-P Still, a fine game overall, polish it some more and this has the potential to be one of the best gorefest shooters on the internet. You know, like Smash T.V. :-P
