Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

Hello,

This is the official music video I was commissioned to do for the song "Love Like An Automobile" by the awesome band "Tank Half Full".

It took me alot longer to finish than I anticipated, but I think it's one of the best cartoons I've ever created.
It's was a really cool project to work on, the band members were all really helpful, now all I need to do is wait for "U.P.S." to send me my pay :)

This release has the following extras:
- Audio Commentary. (it's terrible)
- Spec Page.
- Links to the bands website.

If you want to get a P.M. as I release new stuff, add this account to your "favorite authors" list:
http://www.celx-requin.ne wgrounds.com (remove spaces, also note my personal account features adult oriented content).

Thanks!
- Celx

P.S. Buy their Cd when it comes out!

Reviews

The video does what it's supposed to do.., it compliments the music, creates continuity, and provides an interesting visual that evokes the feel of the song...Great job!

the whole thing is just ok. nothing in it is too spectacular or anything -- just an average flash music video. although, I think it can be kinda long and at parts (or should I say, LOOPS) can be pretty slow and a little boring, but I guess that because the song is slow and a little boring to some people...
probably the worst part to me about this video was the commentary -- it just ruined the video for me. besides having bad sound quality which I didnt mind, you tell how you used all these cheap flash techniques to get away without having to animate much besides the harmonica player. heck! even I (who did a music video for a youth event once when I first started using flash) animated way more in the time I was given and I wasn't even being commissioned.

Overall, the animation and style was nice, but I think that as a music video, it needs more animated shots changing with the beat of the song to make it faster / smoother; to emphasize the music beat and make your feet and mind dance to it. I don't remember the exact term but I hope you get the idea.

By the way, be careful out there with the wheels pivots.. if you wanted to avoid the optical illusion of don't knowing where they roll you may add a detail to the rims so you see more clearly its speed.

That's all. Good luck, hope you run into more opportunities to make official videos like this *thumbs up*

it may be nice animated and stuff .... but just to be honest .... it's boring !

I loved the song, and I liked the style of the video. It was simple, yet it worked well. Some of the sections dragged on just a little bit too long in my opinion, but it definitely didn't deter from my enjoyment of the video. Great job! :)
