My first animation. It's rough but I think its funny. Hoping to turn him into a character for a larger series that I'm working on.
Criticism is welcome.
Ideas are welcome to put him in odd situations.

Well
It's obvious that you're learning, but I like your style already. It's better than 80% of the 'first animation' videos around here. Reminds me of that eerie salad fingers kinda flash right off the bat. Very short obviously, but I kinda like how he opens his mouth and just weird noises come out. That and the background is pretty good. Obviously could be a lot longer - that would be much more enjoyable. As it sits, it's kinda funny but there's no story and not much to watch.
I'd say you're well on your way to making good flashes. Keep up the good work.
thanks!

i like the part where it made no sense and it gave me nightmares.

glad you half enjoyed it :)

Poor animation deserves poor rating.
Try mixing in some frame-by-frame animation, next time. Make the character less stiff. Give him joints. If you use CS5, take advantage of the bone tool.
Was just using what I learned in class, and this was before the bone tool. My next animation already utilizes it, but thanks for the advice!

Hah.
I laughed, but there's not much here.
was just meant to be a short for my first project. the series will contain dialogue. he just happens to be a character that doesn't speak and only emits random sounds. glad you laughed!
