This game made me make an account

I was a long time lurker on newgrounds, playing games and watching movies, but this flash is so good I had to write a review for it.

The graphics are great, animation is smooth, and of course most importantly the gameplay is excellent. An affectionate parody of final fantasy and jrpgs in general except all those cut scenes, but it's better in that way because its replaced with humor.

You are awesome and I am looking forward to EBF 4.

You are awesome and keep it up

An EPIC Review

Or rather, a review based off of my experiences of beating the game 100% on Epic mode.

EBF3 has the same animation style as the prior two games in the series. It's a very versatile animation style giving monsters and characters very animated expressions whether it be funny or intimidating. And like most RPGs, you made the detail of giving the female characters large breasts, especially Natalie. Just like the other games, you get a medal for clicking Natz breasts repeatedly which I still find hilarious.

The music of this game is amazing. There's not one song I didn't find myself humming (Or even singing O_o) to. Although they may get repetitive very easily, their ambiance and catchyness the first time hearing them is enough to want to listen to them for quite a while.

The gameplay is essentially a major overhaul from the first two games, scrapping most of the components of them. There's still some Arcade RPG elements in it such as more than one wave of enemies per fight and not many places to heal. That's not why I love this game. Since this game is more like a classic, explore and grind RPG, you have much more freedom. In the first games you were just thrown in with all of the spells, attacks, equipment, etc. This was fixed slightly in EBF2 where you had to unlock some stuff, but not enough to keep the Arcade RPG elements from hindering the ability to pick and up play then strategize. In EBF3, you now unlock all of the necessary items to win as you progress, so you can learn what equipment and skills fit each character against each enemy at your own pace. Forging for weaponry and armor as well as upgrading skills and stats doesn't feel like a chore unlike many other generic RPGs. Materials and AP are fairly distributed even on the much harder Epic mode, giving you the ability to surpass or become adequate enough to fare with the tougher, late game foes. While stat buffs and a constant supply of healing spells make fights go smoother, it also makes them go much longer and must constantly be maintained. While this is needed for some foes such as the Monoliths, Tundra Mammoth, or Akron, tanking foes can work just as well at times like against the Pyrohydra or the Golems. This sense of balance and customization is what keeps me coming back to the game and I eagerly await the 4th installment even though I disliked the first two games.

Way to attract new players, Matt. And Merry Christmas.

Animation: 10/10

Overall: 10/10
