Hello people!
PixEvo is a retro-styled platformer game where you explore the game world and collect pixels to evolve into better forms with more abilities to reach new places and collect all the pixels and save the world, ATARI-STYLE! haha

It's a small project I wanted to make and I'm glad it's finally out, it has 8-bit music that I made as well so I hope you enjoy it :D

Gets really fun once you get the wings.
Can be a bit frustrating tough.

Mixed feelings

I love retro games, the music made me feel it even of it was the same theme throughout the entire game, it was pretty original, but here are the flaws;

1) Jumps require pixel-perfect precision, else you're just gonna fall. Even when you have the wings.

2) Speaking of the wings, it's kinda a big jump to go from just jumping to flying, it gives you way too much to explore when you have to search every last nook and cranny (Did I honestly just say 'nook and cranny?)

3) Just the fact that you have to make perfect jumps to reach every last possible fountain-flow-restoring-things. I kinda got annoyed when I thought that a certain one was out of my reach, yet I had like three or four more to go and had to make jumps that I thought were purposefully impossible.

4) The ending kinda made me feel like all of my work was just wasted if I have to die. Seriously.

5) The last upgrade was the best and the worst 'cause there was nothing to use it on and nowhere left to really explore. Yes, you have to break down some doors, but you still run into doors that need switches, so just what's the point?

6) There is absolutely no way I'm replaying this to get the speed run medal. It just does not give me that appeal.

Really good. Just makin the bloody platforms a milipixel apart annoys us. Makes us so annoyed that we want to kick your arse

Making the platforms so far apart that you have to jump from right on the edges isn't fun. It's not challenging. It's a pain in the ass.

And the movement starts off so ridiculously slow. Not worth playing at all.

flippin wicket awesome mang!

loved everything about it, fun, challenging, graphically mesmerizing (compared to pong), but really a nice game to waste 20 minutes. I really enjoyed it.
