Cannibal Boxes

I've finally got a recent animation that's polished enough for suitable upload, so here's my first Newgrounds submission! I do hope it entertains you for 40 seconds.

This project was inspired by my sculpture class at the Art Institute of Colorado; our first assignment was to make three boxes in any medium that belonged together as a set with something different between them all. Needless to say, I had the sculpture with the most personality!

No real story behind this other than a bunch of boxes who like to use their teeth on each other. I think I'll revisit them again in a more epic (and potentially bloody) fight sequence if I get enough response :)

The main goal of this project was to experiment with exaggeration and bringing an inanimate object to life. The other challenge is that they have no eyes to show emotions with so it's all in the body language. The sound clip was fun to make I must say, however I originally intended to present it without sound and let the movements do the talking, and boy did I have fun squashing and stretching these guys!

Awesome!

I have seen your animations, and this is the best so far! You are an excellent animator! I LOVE all the graphics you put on there! Keep it up!

Cubivore!!!!!!!!

I loved that game!

Woah.

I didn't know you have a Newgrounds account here, Riley! Nice! Anyway, I pretty much laughed at the concept you made here. Though I never did seem to get what happened at the last second with the bigger box. Did he just jump in the little box's mouth, or did the little box inhale him?
