Newgrounds Radio is a nifty gadget that streams music from the Newgrounds Audio Portal right to your computer.

There are over 300,000 amazing songs and counting in the Portal, and you can listen to them all in one convenient place with Newgrounds Radio. If you like a song, you can add it to your Favorites list, which will be there every time you come back. If you want to repeat a song you didn't favorite, you can always look back at your History list and search through all the songs you've previously listened to.

Newgrounds Radio even features an epic visualizer that allows you to see the songs you're listening to. Of course, you're free to just open some new tabs and keep NG Radio open so you can listen to epic music!

I'm also working on a standalone version of Newgrounds Radio so you can listen to it without having to open up your browser.

Thanks to Sh0t-D0wn, EJR, Twilight, Farza, KevnSevn, and all my other testers for testing this!

Special Super Thanks to HDXMike for being awesome.

Very Nice

A nice program that does everything it is supposed to do and nicely at that.
My only downside (and the reason I will not use it over other NG radio apps) is that it has no option to turn off visualizations. It's for music... I do not intend to watch it and it eats half a CPU core on its simplest visualization.

Awesome work.

Very nice gadget. I like how it's in the NG style. The only thing i noticed, is that it has been done before. So it's not that original.

Anyways good job.

Nifty

These things are always cool, the visualizer is a nice touch.

On a side note, one of these was made a while back that's really similar, just search NGAP, but you may have known that already.

Still cool though

Archawn responds:

I know of that one, but it doesn't have a visualizer like mine does.

Love it

I'm a flash artist who's always looking through the music archive for good stuff, but it's always so 'hands on' - this is exactly what I've been looking for. There are other Radio style programs out there, but this works so much better than them. I've been using it for two days straight now.

When it says 'Add To Favorites' does that properly add the music to ones personal favorites page? Or does it simply add it to the in-house playlist? If it's the second, may I suggest changing the wording to 'Add to Playlist'. I'm afraid to touch it at the moment.

Suggested Trivial Improvements:
- A back button, in case one accidentally skips forward
- The ability to rate the music (more helpful for the
- Ability to see description of music for context (even instead of a visualiser)

Super Important Improvements:
- I would absolutely fall in love with this program if you somehow added a 'More By This Artist' button, where it limits it to just the current artist's works.

I mean, here I am enjoying this song 'Celtic Celebrations', and I'm like "I'd love to listen to more by whoever this is - but alas, I only have a Randomize button at my disposal. Oh well..."

I don't know how hard that is to implement, but - I mean, you're already a legend in my books, but this would shoot you to historic level epicness.

Decent Work

Nice, clean interface
Visualizer is nice

However, people seem to not know of NGAP Radio, found at http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /361915

Still, nice job

Something that I would like to see is a way to make the favorites computer independent; i.e. my desktop and laptop would have the same favorites. Perhaps link it to a person's favorites in their account, if the interface is available? If nothing else, a way to import/export faves using a text file would be nice.
