whimsical tales of the royally f%#ked

EDIT--------
thank you Tom for front page and Daily 3rd!
---------------
When a huge wad of long lost starships breaks real space, the authorities aboard a passing space marine vessel order their men to board (because they've got nothing better to do.)

I decided to make this flash after joking around whilst playing the board game, 'space hulk' with friends on a rainy day last fall. After this episode, based on the board games first mission 'suicide mission,' hopefully ill get to animating some of the other 11 missions as additional episodes

didnt really get it

wasnt a massive fan of this animation, i didnt like the voice acting and i didnt get a lot of the jokes- i suppose this is because i must have had to play the game first, but many other game paradies on this site are funny even if i havent played the original game. even so i liked your graphics/ animation.

okay enough.

I used to play the old Sega Saturn game of the same name years ago, never even knew there was a boardgame version. I remember having so many nightmares after a good session of playing that game. The graphics were amazing and horrifying for such an old game. I also remember just about every character's name I think.
Uh anyway, I was expecting you to do more with what you had, and thatyou'd bring back joyeous memories, but it was kinda dull. Yes it was funny in places, but as a whole it was just too simple. Perhaps I am judging too harshly as I loved that game so much and thus expected something of equal qulity, but I felt there was room for many more jokes to be made.

I've never actually played the old video game; this was solely based on the board game for the most part.

I'll be sure to look into the game for the next one tho :D

... uh i think it'll get better right?

well then, i found it hilarious because ive experienced it but honestly, i think we all saw that ending coming, and the voices and well as the sound effects were scratchy and hurt my ears. also, was the stutter planned? if so dont do it next time or at least not so much.

Well... it's Space Hulk.

The art was cool, well I guess terminators are always cool. The weapons and how you used the lightning looked great. I loved how the terminators we're clearing the hallways and the genestealers kept snatching them one by one. That was great.

But the rest wasn't... first of all, your voice actors..uh sucked, to be honest. I don't know who was doing the voices for the space marines but they we're horrible and ruined much of the experience.

And plus I didn't think it was even funny, you did try though...comedy is a really hard thing to achieve. Nice work with the references to the game though!

The only thing that kept me watching was because it was based on something
I already knew... if this would have just been something else you might have made up, I think it would've been quite awful.

I'll give it half, which isn't that bad. Because after all, I still watched the whole thing, so it's already a sign that I had an interest in seeing how it would end. :)
