Hey everyone, here's a game for you. It's a moody little puzzle game about a hermit that expands on the mechanic seen in games like Cursor*10 and Chronotron.
Bonus points go to Luka Marcetic, who handled the art, and David Carney, who wrote the music.
Don't forget: If you mess up, push R to reset the level. P or Escape to pause-Volume controls are in pause menu.
Simply put, this game is up there with the rest of Newground's most meaningful works and should be given a look at by everyone. If you're reading this, stop and start playing it already!
There's not much else to say. Perfect music, great story, well-thought-out levels and just the right length for its purpose.
Might i suggest another one? I wouldn't mind one more gameplay based with some harder levels. I would be interested in a level editor, too, with a possibility of a player pack released even later.
Overall, 5/5, 10/10, Favorite.
almost.. depressing but once it said 8 years i was like no way you would interview a man with a single story to tell once a week for 8 years. this is very good though, and still extremly sad
A truly great game
As many others have already said, this really is a phenomenal game. Great visuals, great gameplay, and an interesting story. I really liked how you set up the whole clone dynamic and the truly challenging puzzles that accompanied it. Including the last level (which I am not going to spoil ;-) ). Good job, chief! You made something fun and amazing!
Also to Macandy92, you have to stay in one place and make it so the clones can jump on you then you walk across the bridge. Good luck with the next level! lol
the story is depressing but it makes it more than just a platformer..really fun and wonder what he is going to say next
great brain teaser
I found this game to be really challenging and had me really thinking at times but sadly I got stuck on the level after the "memories". Sadly I got too frustrated and ended up quitting. I really wanted to finish the game but I didn't quite have the patience for this one I guess. In spite of that, It was a great game. You've got a 5/5 and a 10/10 from me. Keep up the good work!
