"Good game for a beginner"

Nice game, i liked it. It's very good, i won the game. Anywayz are you making a new game right now?

It iz VERY good for a start, but i do wish the spikes work. And i don't care if it'z a little bug, the game iz still cool. Also good songz you picked, it waz really interesting and cool in the same time.

The graphics were OK. But it looked simple, but it that doesn't count. The game levelz were good, and this game waz alot simple if you won a game. But this game ... iz the best.

Anywayz this would be in my favoritez. Backgroundz should be in there though. But the game derservez an eighty!

Honestly? I think you did a decently good job, seeing as it's your first game.

Beef up the graphics, add a story, and make the Levels more challenging, and you've got the makings for an okay game.

Definitely fix those bugs though, they are pretty annoying D=

"Not a bad attempt, seeing as its ur first..."

Well, u put some work into it, that always counts. I took soem tiem on lvl 4 cos of the bug but i eventually got through.

Graphics were pretty simple, mostly freehand shapes. This makes the game look somewhat generic so you should watch out for it. Animation when it came to moving objects was decently smooth and not many glitches on this part.

The real highlight was the audio. You chose a particularly good piece and if u put in a theme whihc matched with it u could go far.

Overall, not a bad attempt for ur first try but u could definetely do better.

"Generic at best..."

Essentially the game is another generic platformer.

The graphic design seemed really lazy, as if you created various shapes freehand using the pencil tool.

The level design was equally poor... The game was overly simple with little innovation as you went along, to be frank it was a cake walk.

Even with a basic knowledge of actionscript you could have added some elements that would have made the game more unique. Such as masks, and puzzle based levels.

The menu design was obscene, you should have used the text tool to write out the options. I think it's important to keep in mind that first impressions are extremely important.

The first thing someone playing a game sees is the menu, if it's shitty there is a great temptation to close the game and hit the dreaded "blam this piece of crap button"

The music was alright, but after reaching the end seemed to go into a double loop,
and there was one level where it stopped completely this again is an example of shoddy actionscripting.

I feel for your next attempt perhaps you should take more time in the graphic, and level design. And also check for collision problems as there were quite a few I found in this game.

You may also want to consider checking out the game PIXEL on the portal,
it was made using very basic actionscript/graphics but still managed to be challenging.

Hopefully it may serve as a source of inspiration...

"Decent attempt"

The controls are pretty good, the physics work out quite well. There are some nasty bugs here and there, sometimes the dot just falls through the plattform when it's not supposed to do so. Also in level 8 I fell through the plattform (yeah, the dot is supposed to do that), but the level didn't restart. Instead I just had a white screen.
Also, the music suddendly stops on level 15, which is a bit weird.

You should try to add some backgrounds into the game. It looks a lot nicer than just a white screen. It would be even better (but a lot harder) if the backgrounds where involved in the gameplay. Instead of just giving us black lines as plattforms chose some objects from the background we could jump on. This would make the game a lot more insteresting.
