-Small update added (2010-01-21), adding a few bug fixes and gameplay tweaks. For instance, you can now drop enemies that you have picked up by pressing the down key.
-If you fall through the level and die after clearing a stage, you could try lowering the quality and/or turning off the camera effects in the options menu.
-It appears we should point out that ALL THE BOSSES ARE IN FACT BEATABLE. Each has a certain pattern that needs to discovered, that's all. If it doesn't always make perfect sense, sue us :)
-Finishing all 19 levels unlocks the Barbarian Stronghold survival level, where you must hold off the hordes for as long as you can.
-Again, thanks for the great reviews, frontpage and collection!

A young barbarian sets out on a quest to find the legendary Secret of Steel...

This sequel took nearly a year(!) to finish and contains more enemies, 19 levels, boss fights, complex combat and physics engines, geographical puzzle solving, an epic musical score and an intriguing storyline.

To all the fans who supported this game, big thanks! We really got a kick out of the reception the demo got. And many thanks to hzlancer for his masterpiece of a soundtrack.

Great Game!

An awesome game. Gets repetitive after a while, otherwise its one of the best games in Newgrounds. Anyways here is a guide for the respective bosses.

Warning! Spoiler alert!

1st Boss: Stay close to the boss. Everytime the boss tries to swing his club, move behind him. Then, jump on top of his club followed by another jump to slash his head.
Tip: You'll have to start jumping before he brings down his club as there is insufficient time.

2nd Boss:After you get thrown to the starting point, just hack your way through the tentacles to reach the boss.
Tip: Since you are being surrounded on both sides by the tentacles, keep switching targets between them to intercept their attacks before they hit you. To do this, you'll have to stay in the midpoint of both of them.

3rd Boss: Attack the boss everytime she tries to swoop down, before she hits you. You need some timing for this.
Tip: When the skeletons start spawning, stay near the purple flame, but not too near. Everytime the skeletons jump out, attack them in midair to cause them to fall, then perform a finisher. This will help to clear the skeletons faster.
After you hit the boss twice, she starts to throw the molotov rapidly. When she starts throwing them, you'll have to run or jump in the opposite direction otherwise you'll get caught in a series of attacks that throws you to the flame which kills you in no time.

3rd Boss:For this boss, keep dodging the shockwaves till you get close to her. Then when you are in front or her, jump behind her just as she is throwing another shockwave at you. When you get behind her, she will get stunned temporarily. Use this chance to dish out as much damage as possible.
Tip: Don't rush into her, otherwise you'll get thrown on the ground, where you'll be easy prey for her shockwave.

4th Boss: This boss is actually pretty easy. Just keep using jump attacks on him, as he tries to mimic your attack. When you rage meter gets filled, use your finisher as it deal a huge amount of damage.
Tip: Keep your distance from him and just keep using jump attacks

So far I've only played until here, so good luck guys!

Seriously bosses too hard, I was fighting that stupid swamp guy and when i was fighting the thrid row of tentacles a tentacle at the beginning popped up while i was fighting and pulled me back, but i loved the game graphics and gameplay of hack n slash but the bosses are too much

Pure juice of AWESOMENESS

Usually I only go to NG for a few minutes to play some games while I'm driking up my daily dose of caffeine, but this game took up my whole morning as I finished up the game and played a bit on the barbarian fortress.

I wanna mate behind the bushes and make a baby with the gameplay system, gotta love how it is timing-based. Do not care about the reviews, its not the game that is repetitive, people are just playing it too damn much.

All the 3 names in the credits are equally responsible for the greatness that is this game, love the unique art style, gameplay is very well coded and the music sets you in the perfect mood for the bloodbath.

Recommending this game to everyone I know.
