So after having this up for a day its clear people might need a bit of back story on this. I was asked to teach a flash class at my collage a few weeks ago, and as part of that i designed a studio style flash test for the students to do. The test was 1 line, to lypsync and animate. I then took the same line and built this little short around it. Hence the lack of pre explanation, or build to the story line. The purpose was to show the students that anything and everything can be pushed. This is simply me just having fun and running with something that went a little to far. I also only had a week to do it, so the ending is not as robust as i had originally intended... but thems the breaks.

"Candies fighting in a war?"

Makes sense.

Absolutely wonderfully animated. Your style is much like the animation Tarboy.

Anyway, the only downside is how compressed this animation feels. So choppy, so dull. Is this the original copy?

Great work nonetheless.

"Quite possibly the best, but also too short."

date: November 12, 2009

I was expecting a spectacle of bravery!
But the result was a little short-comming.
Over all I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of the work.
Even though it was a bit short for my expectations.
I was kinda hoping to see like Candy Tanks. But oh well.
Good Work!

You did a superior job of giving the flash one of those old-timey movie feeligns, by the end of the film I thought it represented more of a Disney feeling than anything else. The stomach aches line was fantastic, that was the only dialogue you needed in the flash since you delivered it perfectly. The text was somewhat difficult to read, but it was nothing that should be counted off for. It was a highly entertaining movie, I am impressed beyond belief.

I thought this flash would have something to do with the Candyland board game, haha, but I like how you put your own creative spin on it. The animation was fantastic, all of the gun shots and explosions looked beautiful. I thought there would have been a better ending, the final line was clever, but I was hoping for an epic battle scene or something along those lines. Still, you did a fantastic job on this. Keep up the great work!

"This is epic"

date: June 9, 2009

Lol it was really funny, had a good moral, had great audio, and I can obviously see how much time and effort you put into the animation and art. This flash is epic and is deserving of front page.
