Alvin Earthworm is an artist because, while he is using sprites and characters and stories previously made, he's using all of these elements to create a story of his own. He's creating his own interpretation of something else. Artists do this all the time, while including elements from the previous versions. Filmmakers make movies based on books (sometimes using dialogue from those books), artists make paintings based on historical events, musicians make music based on everything known to man (sometimes using historical sound clips or dialogue or whatever). The fact that he's using sprites can be cool depending on how you look at it. I think it's cool because it draws me back to those games I played, while also providing a new, dramatic, "epic" interpretation.
I'm truly sorry that you don't understand that, and can't enjoy one of THE best series on Newgrounds, sprites or no sprites. The fact that you'd go out of your way to make a cartoon dissing one of the most highly rated series on this site will only make people not want to watch your toons. Just sayin'. I get the point of this, and I'm not tryin' to be a douche, I'm just sayin'. It was kind of funny though, it made me laugh. I just think it would've been a better spoof without the title at the end, which is too obnoxious I think.
