You can't remember the last time you left your room. When you receive a barcode reader in the mail, you discover that the world around you is not what it seems, and must escape the bars of black and white.

"Bars of Black and White" is a game in the room-escape tradition with hand-drawn line art graphics and novel barcode-scanning action. Is the world insane, or is it you?

Interesting game. The graphic create a perfectly misterious atmosphere, the bars on the walls say weird things, the player become very curious... then the game ends. Nothing have been explained. I understand that you want to leave the player without any answer, but this game has also no meaning. It's too "general", there are lots of sci-fi stories like this where a person lives in a fake world.

Gregory Wier's games are fun and challenging. This is a great puzzle game and once i figured it out, a great timewaster for me :3

Very interesting, I've never seen a game much like this one before. The concept of scanning for secret codes is both entertaining and original, and the hidden idea/meaning behind everything was very interesting as well. I only wish that maybe there could have been just a bit more, as it seemed somewhat short.
