Finally Lilg and I are back again with the long awaited sequel to Griswold the Goblin. It's been a long journey for us, with many setbacks, sidetracks and almost a year of development.

In this first chapter of this new on going saga called "Islands of Fire" you must help Griswold find the Goblin City. You will have to collect many items, solve puzzles, play several mini games and even navigate a labyrinth to help Griswold in this new epic adventure.

Lot's of thanks must go to all the people who tested the game and to Tom Fulp for all the help he's given us!

@BonusStage about the lumber jack juice

i had the similar problem, i had drank the lumberjack juice and tried walking past the deadly vines thinking he'd go superman and rip them to shreds, i died ofcourse. when i loaded it back up, went to go pick up the juice, it was not there. so i soon found out once you've drank the juice the auto-save kicks in. you'll still have drank it.

other then that great game.. i had to use the walkthru cause i was tired of just trying.. like you wouldn't think you could talk to a spider, i didnt.. so i never tried it. also i tried using the lava on the gate Before getting the picture and it doesn't work "it doesn't make sense" the game tells me.. but you have to do it anyways, which makes no sense.

good game overall, i enjoyed it.

Phantasmagor responds:

Griswold has no incentive to ever go inside the labyrinth until you speak with the widow and find out that her husband the explorer may know where to find the Goblin City. After finding this out Griswold now wants to try and get in the labyrinth so now you can use the lava on the gate. Also in this kind of fantasy game anything is possible including talking spiders. You need to try interacting with everything in all different ways.
Thanks for the review

Very nice job

Well yeah, I liked it, it's maybe a bit of a "generic adventure game", yes, but it's fun to play if you have some spare time, or you just feel like it.
The game, as long as I could see, didn't have any bugs or glitches, which is very good, congrats, the characters were cartoony and attractive (as attractive as a goblin can be) the walking cicles, as happens on lots of Point n' Click, are kind of annoying, specially if you have a background in which you can not only move left and right, but up and down, were slow and annoying, but besides from that, the game was epic and funny, and somebody please give a medal to thatcomposerguy and Phantasmagor for the awesome loops.

Oh, and by the way, did you take the name from Griswold, from Diablo and Diablo II?

Phantasmagor responds:

In the menu you can select to walk fast or slow. When it's on the fastest speed setting you don't wave to wait much for Griswold to reach his destination. Thanks for playing the game and particularly enjoying the music from thatcomposerguy and I. No Griswold wasn't taken from Diablo. It just seemed like a kind of different and interesting name to give a Goblin, plus it means it has alliteration in the title Griswold the Goblin :)

:|...

So i pick up the lumberjack juice and suddenly...... It's not there.

It isn't in the inventory or anything, it was just picked up, the auto-save occurred, and then bam it was gone.

Is this an issue with myself only? Because it was quite odd for an item to just magically disappear before i even have the chance to see where it was located.

As for the game itself, you know you did a great job there's no need to get on my knees over it.

Phantasmagor responds:

(Response by Chris)

I'll have Casper look into that. We haven't had that problem happen before. Did you by any chance not realized you used the mouth on it? Because then you would have drank it.
