Great Achievement

I found that when watching this series I totally forgot I was on newgrounds watching a flash animation. I could go on, but there isn't much point, I'm pretty sure all the good things to say about this movie have been said already!

Love it...

For those who complain it's bland, pseudo-Japanese or whatever, let met explain what they were aiming for when they started this project.

First: It's Korean. The team are three Korean animators. No, it does not resemble Anime. No, it's not trying to resemble anime. The art style is that of "ManHwah", which in Chinese literally translates to "Comic book". This, along with Anime, is the predonimant style of the East, so obviously they're going to draw in that style! That it's not particularly stunning visually is not the point.

Secondly: To those who didn't understand the plot... how was it not obvious? There is so much attention to detail that if you were fully awake it'd be hard not to understand the plot (the first time I watched it I was half asleep, and I still got it.) I have read some say there isn't any colour. Colour is used all over the place as symbolism. Green is used for uniqueness- note how the scarf goes grey in step 4 when he rejects his uniqueness. Red for rejection, etc...

Finally... why the hell should it matter if the themes are recycled? Don't almost all "new" things recycle the old? To require something to be original to be good would be stupid. In the end, our expression of creativity is in effect recycling our own experiences... so even the most original of things isn't original at all.

Endpoint: I love this series. It made me cry. But I'll take away the happy message :)

I didn't know Newgrounds had absolute perfection in it. I think this is the best thing I've ever seen on the internet.

Words cant describe...

The sheer emotional impact this movie holds. You ever get those chills going down your spine when something really hits you? This was s good, it scared me. After watching this beautifully animated video, and seeing the final message behind the whole series, i can say i have come out a better person than i was before watching it. You, my friend, havent created a flash video. You have created something for the world to learn from.

No Impartial World

I've seen the whole series, and i have to admit that i feel inspired by it. I love the message that this series tells. Its things like this that renew my hope in humanity, that someone out there actually thinks like a sensible human being. The series was terrific from the humorous beginning to the darker fourth step and the hyper active final step. this series isn't only a great piece of art, but its also inspirational to a point. the only other thing i can say is you did a great job SamBakZa, and keep up the great work.
